Editorial Reviews:

Breakfast is about memories. Fond recollections of bacon sizzling and the smell of coffee emanating from the kitchen on a cold winter morning emotionally evoke breakfasts the way they're supposed to be made. And in Manhattan, Good Enough to Eat has been creating these memorable breakfasts for 20 years. Now, in this inviting cookbook, filled with over 100 recipes, readers will discover the hidden secrets to creating their own remarkable breakfasts and brunches in the comfort of their own home. From beating eggs the "right" way for the perfect omelette to creating sumptuous strawberry butter and classic cinnamon buns, it's all here in THE GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT BREAKFAST COOKBOOK.

Summary: Educational and Yummy
Comment: The hashbrowns are my favorite. The way she cooks bacon is brilliant. The muffins are worth the price!

Summary: Yummy addition to your cookbook catalog
Comment: Having seen a profile of the restaurant and its owner on national t.v. some time ago, I was eager to visit this place and taste what everyone was raving about. Now that we've taken that maiden trip, are we glad we did! The recipes in the book include every kind of yummy breakfast treat you can imagine. (The coconut and chocolate chip Peter Paul Pancakes are my fave!) If you have the time and patience to fuss over breakfast and don't just want to grab an apple and cup of coffee as you race out the door, this is a great way to enjoy Breakfast as a main meal of the day, and treat your family to something special too. The recipes are straightforward and easy to follow. The author (who is also the restaurant owner)has a friendly and easy to read style and it makes the cookbook more than just a step by step instructional. If you are ever in New York City, stop by this place on the Upper East Side and see for yourself why Carrie Levin has earned such a great reputation in her business.
