From the New York Times bestselling author-the 15 foods that pack an incredibly powerful punch for good health

Gary Null has guided and inspired entire generations of Americans to adopt healthier living habits. Now, in this revolutionary book, Null outlines a master plan for anyone searching for a healthier, more natural way of looking at food.

Here, Gary Null has created a comprehensive eating plan built on a foundation of his 15 Power Foods. He explains in detail the unique nutritional powers and attributes each food holds, and offers hundreds of delicious recipes that incorporate as many Power Foods as possible. A menu plan shows you how to make the most of meals throughout the day-breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, appetizers, beverages, and more. Gary also discusses healthful eating habits, like the benefits of organic, whole, raw, and vegan eating.

Comment: Gary Null's Power Foods: The 15 Best Foods for Your Health
Am i looking at the same book the other reviewers were? The cover and title are the same but there is not one color photo or any other picture in the entire book.
I am completely frustrated in finding recipes. It has NO INDEX!!! If I want to find an entree that contains one of the power foods, I have to flip through 49 pages scanning the ingredients in the recipes on each page. "Beverages" are even worse, 109 pages to flip through!!! This is a complete waste of time for someone who "loves to eat, but hates to cook" the audience to whom the book is dedicated.
With so many books about healthy eating available, I would not waste my time with this one. The power foods are simplistic and out of date. It claims to contain recipes ranked by how many of the "15 power foods" each contains and yet there are numerous recipes that do not include ANY of the listed foods. Why bother?

Summary: Power Foods by Dr. Gary Null PhD
Comment: This is a perfect book for health enthusiasts everywhere. It contains
power foods , as well as sample recipes which implement the
preparation of the meals in the preferred mode. A strength of the presentation is that it is easy to read and emulate the health food preparations depicted. Sample power foods are:

o almonds
o oranges
o blueberries
o onion and garlic
o ginger
o legumes
o carrots
o whole wheat
o pepper
o Shiitake mushrooms
o tomato
o leafy greens
o soy

The book sets forth many easy-to-read food preparations for a large
constituency of readers; namely, heads of households, dieters,
nutritionists, physicians, athletes and food enthusiasts everywhere.

Sample food preparations are Lima Bean Seaweed Salad and Healthy Hijiki.
Each preparation is depicted with a picture and thorough description.
Soy is rich in protein. Oranges and blueberries have powerful
antioxidant properties. Ginger is a classic anti-inflammatory herb.
Additional information on the medicinal benefits which complement
health care planning may be obtained from listening to the Gary Null radio show.

The book is an excellent acquisition for the price charged.

Summary: Excellent way to eat
Comment: This book has wonderful recipes that are not only nutritious but quite tasty. There is a cream of Berry Soup that looks really delicious. He also includes a section on 15 power foods which are loaded with antioxidants, which he describes. This is a great book for anyone who wants to know how to prepare raw food and vegan specialities.
