Lots of in depth information on canoe shapes and material trade-offs, paddle types etc. It's very interesting and fun to read. There are sections on paddling too but they are not as elaborately illustrated as some books. Also not a lot of pictures related to river reading etc. But you can't beat this book for equipment.
