Customer Rating: Summary: Great Resource Comment: This is a great resouce for diabetics whether just diagnosed or managing the disease. The recipes are good too.
Customer Rating: Summary: want to get scared? Comment: Read the part where they discribe what happens to you as you get diabetic, and you will want to eat better, and loose weight.
Some very serious complications, so it is worth buying if you want to know everything about diabetes." This is the first "Dummies" book I have purchased. Who wants to buy a book that call's you a dum head?
Customer Rating: Summary: A good start Comment: i bought this book a couple of years ago, because my partner is diabetic and i wanted to know how to cook for her. the recipes in here are all good, and sound delicious, but most are too involved to be practical for everyday cooking. more helpful would have been how to make regular foods diabetic-friendly. there are some good chapters explaining diabetes and carbs and all that, but the actual cookbook part could use some work.
