Summary: Great book
Comment: I don't think any book could accurately depict owning any type of business this on appears to give excellent insight into the specifics of the pizza shop. A must read for anyone considering a food business.

Summary: Excellent resource!
Comment: This was exactly what we were looking for in our search for more information on the Pizza and Italian restaurant business. This was for research first, and we hope to put Mr. Powell's advice and experience to use one day soon. No other books out there like it. Well written and researched.

Summary: "informative and interesting--a little rushed"
Comment: Let me start by saying I enjoyed reading this book a great deal. A lot of information concerning mixers, ovens, and other topics were covered. Too much repetition, as well as too much focus on statistics of the big companies was a downer. As a pizza affectionado and person looking into the pizza business I would have liked a little more advise for beginners. I got the same vibes as the reviewer from illinois, the author could have done a better job. All in all, this is a great introductory book. I think Tracy Powell should re-write this book from a whole different point of view: From the conception of a small pizza shop to the grand opening/first $1.00. I guess some of us are either dumber or more afraid of taking the plunge into entrepreneurship. Sometimes it just takes a little push!

Summary: "Dazzling: Lights up Broadway."
Comment: It inspired me to want to write my own book. It gave me inspiration unlike any other. It was a very good book and I would like to read it again.

Summary: What we needed!
Comment: A lot of information for starting a pizza parlor for me and my wife. There's more in Powell's book than we could get anywhere else dealing with pizza or even a restaurant wanting to start serving pizza. Highly recommended.
