Customer Rating: Summary: Great Recipes Comment: I am enjoying all the great recipes in the book. I collect tea books and am very happy with this one.
Customer Rating: Summary: My favorite tea time book ! Comment: I received the book from Amazon yesterday and was immediately captivated by the cover and decided to spend my evening to read it through.
Boy, this wonderful book describes the history of tea, how tea was introduced to other countries, personal stories from Dolores Snyder and many themed tea parties with lovely photographs and mouth watering menus. This is what I'm looking for in a tea book, and I've found it !
Customer Rating: Summary: My Favorite Tea Party Resource! I love this book! Comment: This is a beautiful book. Beautifully photographed, it begins with a sturdy history of tea. It quickly covers everything you need to know from basic definitions to perfect brewing guides. Then to the good stuff! The menus and recipes are mouth-watering and make you want to put the kettle on immediately. I love the personal stories Delores Snyder includes about where the recipe came from, where she was when she first sampled the confection, or which chef traded the recipe for one of hers. At first I assumed she was tea enthusiast with some bright ideas, then I turned to the back flap. This is a lady who knows her stuff! She opened The Gourmet Cookery School in Dallas in 1976, directed a food and wine tour to France for Neiman Marcus and is a founding member of the James Beard society. I can't say enough good things about it. It's exactly the themed tea resource I was looking for.
