The ultimate BBQ book by one of the food world's most fiery personalities.

Barbeque champ Ted Reader is nothing if not audacious. Widely recognized as one of the world's most entertaining and engaging outdoor chefs and barbecue personalities, Reader is a media favorite-a bold and passionate enthusiast who has appeared numerous times on Live with Regis and Kelly and who's a major name on the cookoff/barbecue circuit.

This four-color-throughout cookbook is the ultimate guide to real barbecue with gusto. Presented with bold design and a "guy's guy" look, the recipes include:

- Rubs & Marinades
- Burgers & Sandwiches
- Steaks
- Beer Can Cookin'
- Smoking

Brimming with attitude, pyrotechnics, and a taste for fresh and bold ideas for the 'cue, this top-notch, appealing book is poised to be the backyard must-have of the summer.

Summary: King of my Q
Comment: I love to grill and I am always looking for new things to try. Ted Reader has that in spades. I picked up this book while on vacation. I tend to be a pretty visual person and always look for good pictures in a cookbook...always. Needless to say, the pictures are what first caught my eye. Although there is not every recipe, there are enough.

Reader's book covers about anything and everything that can be put on the grill. Even some things the occasional griller might not consider: quesadillas, dessert, breakfast! For as provocative as some of Ted's recipes are, there is one drawback. A lot of them are lengthy in the prep department. A number of recipes include upwards of 15 ingredients and then direct you to another recipe that has another 15 plus ingredients. For this reason, Ted's book sat on my shelf for quite a while.

Over the last couple months, I pulled it back out and started experimenting. I am glad I did. Although there are few "last minute" dinner recipes, a little planning ahead with what you will need gives you a lot of success when you plan to grill. I have particularly enjoyed his ultimate planked salmon, beer lime marinated skirt steak, and grilled Canadian bacon hash.

For the adventurous griller, this book is a must read.

Summary: Outstanding book
Comment: This is my favorite cookbook. I have had more fun with his recipes and tips than any other source I have used. I highly reccomend this purchase, I'm buying another for a Christmas gift.

Summary: Excellent Cookbook
Comment: We love this cookbook! So far we have made 2 recipes from it (chicken w rum butter sauce & cashews and shrimpsicles). They were not difficult and were pretty quick to prepare and make. And they were both delicious! This books is a must have if you enjoy cooking on the grill! We can not wait to make our next meal from this book. :)
