Summary: Not much help
Comment: Not much help in learning to cook/eat/live vegetarian/vegan. A few areas of book give general info on grains, sweeteners, egg substitutes, etc, but the recipes are too time consuming and require too may odd/hard to find ingredients to be of much use on a daily basis. I don't have 3 hours to prep/cook and I can't find azuki beans or umeboshi vinegar!!!

Summary: Love the book and love the show!
Comment: I love this book. Have made so many of the recipes in it. We love all the dessert ones the most. I love her cooking show too. Thanks Christina!

Summary: Caution Health Ahead
Comment: The recipes were simple enough to make for a busy mom, inspiring enough to get you cooking, and yummy enough to eat. This was just what I was looking for. I felt the personal touch to her style of cooking/writing brought her into the kitchen with me. I would love to see her cooking show someday.

Summary: Like it but, out of luck if you don't live in Cali next to a Vegan store
Comment: As usual alot of the products you just can't find around here. Vegan cheese? Are you kidding? I'm from the Dairy state, I'd probably be shot if I bought Vegan cheese. I found it on the internet and it cost $30.00+ just to ship. Seaweed and certain Miso's and Rice Syrups you just cannot find within/2hr radius. So when you have a recipe that calls for Raspberry Rice Syrup w/Red Miso and Kombu..you're out of luck. Wouldn't be so bad if you could substitute some of these things for something else, but..no. Alot of her recipes call for higher grade gadgets too. Great if your a professional chef, but I wouldn't be buying this book if I was. NONE of the recipes have pictures either.

Summary: Not as good as the show
Comment: I've tried several recipes out of this book and have been less than thrilled. They are fine, just not very exciting. I've also compared the recipes she has done on her show to the book. Although all of them are in the book, the recipes themselves are very different. So far, I've prefered the tv version of the recipe to the cookbook version every time.
