Summary: One of the two best cookbooks ever.....
Comment: I have had this cookbook and Ms. Tribole's original ''Healthy Homestyle Cooking'' for over 6 years and they remain my two favorite cookbooks of all time. I am at this site to purchase more as gifts for some of my favorite people for Christmas.

The recipes are fun and easy to make, the ingredients easy to obtain in any ordinary grocery store, and you end up with dishes that, no kidding, turn out with a consistancy and taste that is actually better than the originals with all the fat, sugar and calories.

If you try the ''Tex-Mex Skillet'' (takes about 10 minutes to prepare) you will never go back to regular Chili again. Comfort food like ''Spicy Peanut Penne'' is out of this world.

In the summer the Dinner Salads like ''Festive Black Bean Salad'' and ''Layered Taco Salad with Sour Cream Dressing'' leave your tastebuds and your tummy totally satisfied.

I love to cook for guests and when I've made the ''Crustless Italian Ricotta Pie'' and ''Chicken Piccata'' for guests who love Italian food they've raved about them, never suspecting that one of these delicious dishes was low fat, and the other virtually fat free.

Using Ms. Tribole's two cookbooks has totally changed the way I cook and, indeed, the way I eat. My blood pressure problem has gone away too. Her cooking makes the lovely nuances and tastes of her dishes come through to the point that your tastebuds learn to enjoy the REAL taste of food. I now find that foods weighted down with heavy fats and too much sugar don't taste good to me any more.

Comment: This is my 2nd copy of this book. My first copy somehow turned up missing and there are some recipes in here that I just had to have so I ordered another. Great tasting healthier versions of old recipes and tips. I love this cookbook.

Comment: This book is very well written. The author shows HOW she decreased the fat and calories and comes up with a very tasty alternative. Food values for the revised recipe are listed. A most valuable interesting tool for anyone trying to decrease their cholesterol or lose weight. The food is attractively pictured and her color choices make for a light bright plate of food. Evelyn Tribole is a very imaginative dietitian, many dietitians make diet food look so dull and boring!

Summary: Love it!
Comment: My wife and I love this cookbook. We started Weight Watchers a few months ago and their books use unusual ingredients and are often lacking in flavor.

This book on the other hand is fabulous. It uses common ingedients that you either have on hand or are easy to find in the local grocery store. It also includes all the information you need to calculate your points for Weight Watchers and the food is delicious. We have loved every recipe we have tried. I recomend the Spicy Peanut Penne!! It's my favorite so far.
