Editorial Reviews:

200 time-saving recipes from bestselling cookbook author and Food Network celebrity chef Robin Miller that allow you to "Quick Fix It" your way to get home-cooked meals on the table every night, no matter what your schedule.Robin to the Rescue contains recipes organized by course/main ingredient so you can find recipes for what you're in the mood for fast. For ease of planning, each recipe says how long it will take to prep, active cooking time, and walk-away time (the time a dish can be left to cook without your supervision). A new feature for this book will be that each recipe will allow you to Quick Fix it your way, namely it will tell you how a particular recipe can be turned into a Meal Kit; prepared in a slow cooker; doubled up so you can bank a batch in your freezer for nights when you have no time for meal preparation at all, aside from pushing buttons on the microwave; and/or morphed into another meal you can enjoy later in the week. Robin to the Rescue is a uniquely versatile book, allowing the reader to tailor recipe prep to her own particular needs.

Summary: Cookbooks
Comment: This cookbook is great for the non-cook as well as someone who is an experienced cook. The menus and various ways to use the extras without just reheating are great. I collect cookbooks and have over 300 at last count and will use this one often.

Summary: Happy!
Comment: I knew once I seen she was coming out with another book I just had to get it. I like this one just as much as her first one. The recipes are so easy and full of flavor.

Comment: ROBIN TO THE RESCUE: QUICK & SIMPLE RECIPES FOR DELICIOUS HOME COOKING comes from a TV Food Network kitchen strategist and bestselling author who offers 200 new, home-cooked recipes which are fast and easy. Organized by course and main ingredient, recipes here excel in 5 ingredients or less, yet many flavorful innovations. From Asian Pork Kebabs with Apricot Mayonnaise to Seared Chicken with Merlot and Raspberry Sauce, these are surprisingly quick gourmet delights with a fine centerfold of color photos for added attraction.

Summary: Love it!
Comment: I guess I'm a little confused with the negative reviews for this book. I love it just as much as Robin Miller's first cookbook. I agree that some of the ingredient combinations sound odd, but every recipe that I've tried has been wonderful. This cookbook allows me to create home-cooked meals in a relatively short amount of time, and everyone loves them! I really appreciate that most of the ingredients lists are either fairly short or mainly rely on pantry staples that I always have. This cookbook is helping me keep grocery costs down as prices rise (even as I've had to give up some of my other favorite cookbooks because of the prices of required ingredients). Strongly recommended for adventurous eaters with smaller budgets and little time. :)

Summary: Hodge Podge
Comment: The book and the television show are similar in that they try to put food items together that really aren't that good together. Just because it's in the pantry doesn't mean it has to go into the recipe. Also, who has the money to be able to stock their freezers with scallops, pork tenderloin, shrimp, and flank steak when gas is almost $4.00 a gallon? Not me, my pantry has pasta, beans, and hamburger in it.
