The humble potato features in the cuisines of every continent as an inexpensive staple, but the recipes in Potatoes are anything but ordinary. For starters, food writer Annie Nichols brings us soups, salads and snacks such as Mini Potato Roti with Coconut and Mint Chutney from India, while Meat and Poultry dishes include Tortitas de Papa with Chorizo from Mexico. Potatoes also make fabulous One-Dish Meals like French Potato Gratin and great comfort food like Irish Champ.

Customer Rating: Summary: Outstanding Cookbook Comment: Simply outstanding in every respect - Wonderful and unique receipes for potatoes, simple to follow instructions, listed ingredients separate from receipes for ease of preparation, and great photographs. This book doesn't rely on the old standards for potatoes and offers many interesting and tasteful receipes for both non-dairy and dairy diets. I've purchased three cookbooks to date, 2 for gifts and one for myself. These people should be proud of producing such a nice cookbook - thanks.
