Whether it's a tea party in the garden or a cosy gathering by the fire, afternoon tea is a treat at any time of year. Teatime should begin with Sandwiches and Savouries - delectable savoury morsels that range from traditional fare such as Finger Sandwiches to the more exotic flavours of Quick Blinis with Wasabi Cream and Caviar. Scones and Teacakes features some new takes on old classics. Try Blueberry and Lime Drop Scones or Orange and Walnut Scones with Mascarpone and Fig Preserve. For the ultimate tea-time indulgence, tuck into Fancies - sweet morsels such as Baby Eclairs with Coffee Creme Patissiere and Coffee Sauce or Orange Tuiles with Flaked Almonds. Finally, Cakes are the crowning glory of any tea party and there are a range of delicious flavours to choose from. Tried and tested recipes include Lemon Drizzle Cake, Coffee and Walnut Cake and Victoria Sandwich Filled with Cream and Strawberries. Afternoon Tea features delicate bite-size treats that are guaranteed to charm your guests. Bring out your best china, fill up the teapot and enjoy this wonderful tradition. *An irresistible collection of sweet and savoury recipes, from little toasts to finger sandwiches and scones to baby pavlovas. *Packed with information about preparing a tea-time feast, including how to make the perfect cup of tea. *Irresistible photography by Martin Brigdale.

Customer Rating: Summary: A Sweet Little Book Comment: If you are expecting a huge collection of recipes or instructions as to the protocols of serving Afternoon Tea, this book is not for you. However if you already have an idea of how to serve afternoon tea and simply need some traditional recipes, this may be a good book to use.
I really enjoyed the photography and the recipes as well. I would have liked more recipes for the savory courses, but I loved the petite sweets and the tortes and breads.
Not an exhaustive tea reference, which should be obvious since it is only 64 pages, but a good one.
Customer Rating: Summary: Afternoon Tea Book Comment: Delightful tea book filled with delicious recipes and beautifully presented tabletop photographs to peak the imagination!
Customer Rating: Summary: Love this book! Silver, tea and easy recipes! Comment: Fast ship. Great little book with wonderful tea recipes for sandwiches and desserts! If you are into tea with all the extras, you will like this!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Pretty book, but not very useful for me. Comment: This book is very pretty, and would make a nice coffe table book or tea collection book, but I was looking for something with more recipes that I would enjoy. Ultimately, I ended up returning this purchase.
Customer Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Comment: Wonderful - and pretty - little book! Has a nice variety of recipes with photos of each - also some general tea info which is helpful. Very nice!
