Living space is a precious commodity. Few of us have as much space as we'd like, whether we live in a studio or have a key room that's just too small. Rebecca Tanqueray starts with Making the Most of Your Space. She presents compact homes that show how clever use of colour, lighting or other elements makes for a spacious feel. In The Zones, Rebecca explores the organization of space, including areas for living, cooking, working, bathing and sleeping, and how to make your home multi-functional. Solutions tackles elements crucial to the compact home - including dividing space, using colour, lighting and texture, and clever storage and furniture.

Customer Rating: Summary: boring, nothing new Comment: man, i bought this book b/c of what some of the others reviewers had to say and i was really disappointed. I think the ideas in this book are pretty non inventive, nothing i haven't already thought of. The pictures were nice but more for their decor than storage reference and you can get better decor books. wish i had passed on this one. out of the last 13 books i've gotten off amazon this is the only real disappointment, 12 out of 13's not bad.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice book if I was a rich person Comment: Nice book and amazing spaces, maybe I am unimaginative but the cost associated with doing any of these ideas is huge. I was hoping for ideas that would be more affordable.
The book offers some nice insights to small footprint living.
