Customer Rating: Summary: Smiles and chuckles for the Great Old--Timey Cooks Comment: The small 72 page book is full of old time wisdom and recipes. Pictures from the past combined with stories of the simple life will bring smiles to a mundane day. Although I'm not as old as the people in the book, somethings never change. I remember our next door neighbour kill a chicken on a Saturday so they could have it for Sunday dinner. I've had the pleasure of scrubbing clothes on a scrub board and milk a goat. I've known people just like the ones in the book; it brings back memories of long ago.
This small book is sure to bring a chuckle or two to some old timers and young people alike.
