Summary: They've Done It Again
Comment: Gooseberry Patch has come up with another cookbook with easy recipes and fun ideas to get you in the xmas spirit without adding much to your to-do list. The recipes and ideas are quick, for the most part, and I really like that people send in their favorite ones, like "This is what my family asks for every xmas morning" kinds of recipes. I personally am about to try Ginger and Spice Muffin Mix (to give as a gift) and Overnight Sweet Rolls (to eat ASAP).
There are also instructions in the back of the book for gifts to make, called "Handmade and Heartfelt". Things like Sugar and Spice Milk Bath, Christmas Scent Mix and gift tags and cards are included to copy color and cut out to give along with the gifts.
I would recommend this book as a gift to yourself or others.

Summary: Nice, Homey, Recipe Book
Comment: Cozy Country Christmas is the latest in a long line of Gooseberry Patch cookbooks. As a collector, I've come to appreciate the friendly tone of these cookbooks, and the fun (and easy to make) recipes. Cozy Country Christmas was delightful... I really got in the mood for the holidays after reading this one.
My only concern/minor dislike was that there were 48 pages of memories in the first section, and while I enjoyed reading them, I don't think they have much re-read value.
Overall, an excellent book by the fun folks at Gooseberry Patch. When will the next one be out?
