Summary: Goodness Gracious!
Comment: This book is the reason I love Celia Rivenbark! "Bless your Heart, Tramp" is such a hoot! I read it in an afternoon while riding in the car and my fiance kept wondering what I was laughing out loud about. I think I even snorted a few times.
If you're not from the south or lived there for a long time, you simply will not "get it". This book is all about southern culture and why we say things like, "well butter my butt and call me a biscuit". It is one woman's guide to surviving the ways that southern women are expected to be, even though times have changed. Hilarious from start to finish, it will certainly have you in a tizzy!

Summary: A very "fun" read.
Comment: This author's books are just plain fun, especially for someone raised in the South. Celia Rivenbark is extremely witty, and you will laugh your way through her books. I've read three of her books and enjoyed each of them. She is a very gifted author, so I certainly look forward to what she writes next.

Summary: Great for a quick read & an easy laugh
Comment: The first of the three sections was the best... I read the whole thing of course, but I even had my mother in law and sister in law read the story of the Amish Friendship Bread and When Husbands Get Sick. They laughed. Good book, was totally worth the $5 I spent. Probably wouldn't pay full price though.

I like this book. It's funny and very entertaining. Some of these situations are familar.
Also I like the fact that if I have to put it down I can come back to it when I get the time and I don't have to go back and reread the pages before.
I can also use some of these sayins and information and not only have an answer but a little private joke as to where it came from.

Comment: I bought this book as a gift for a friend my age. After I had received the book myself as a gift, I knew she could relate to many of the stories in the book and would enjoy as much as I. It is typical of life in the south for people of middle age. Most enjoyable!
